Beautify Earth worked to artist Francisco Letelier to spearhead an Indiegogo campaign for the vision of his Guardian mural.
Added to the Red Cross building in Santa Monica, this mural conveys a strong, empowered female, also paying homage to the Red Cross’ roots (since it was founded largely by the support of the Santa Monica Bay Women’s Club in 1917).

The art was carefully selected and chosen by the Red Cross in conjunction with Francisco. This specific chapter currently serves an upwards of 90,000 citizens in over a 16 mile radius, now with a beautiful facade and outward facing image to it’s community.

Reading this post about Beautify Broadway’s collaboration with the Red Cross felt deeply inspiring it’s a reminder that small acts can make a big difference in our communities. It also echoed with memories from a time when I was volunteering tirelessly at local clean-up efforts while under immense academic pressure.
