Dunn Edwards | Beautify Earth | Partnership

Beautify Earth announced excitement about partnering with Dunn-Edwards Paints surrounding their 2018 Color of the Year, "The Green Hour," described as "a dark grayed blue-green, or teal green with a hint of twilight." The paint manufacturer committed to donating 10 percent of sales for this color to Beautify Earth's mission.

Under the leadership of Beautify Earth Team Member Ruben Rojas, the donated funds will support initiatives addressing "blighted walls and communities all over the world by empowering artists, encouraging social responsibility and instilling community pride." Dunn-Edwards pledged paint supplies for beautification projects throughout the Southwest.

The color's name references "l'heure verte," or the green hour, a Parisian tradition from the 1860s when absinthe drinking occurred at 5 p.m. in bars and cafes where famous artists gathered, including "Van Gogh, Degas, Manet and Gaugin."
